Main description

The Lobkowicz Palace is located at Prague Castle and stages concerts daily that all fans of chamber music will love. The programme is very varied and includes famous works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Smetana, Dvořák, and many others.

The palace is also home to a permanent exhibition, where today visitors can see the private collections of the Lobkowicz family, one of the oldest and most important Czech aristocratic families. Entitled “Treasures of Lobkowicz Collections”, the exhibition includes the works of great artists such as Rubens, Velázquez, Veronese and Brueghel. Also on display are musical instruments, original manuscripts, scores by Handel, Mozart, Haydn, and even one manuscript handwritten by Beethoven. In addition, you can admire a collection of weapons and armoury, decorative items, ceramics, and porcelain.

On the ground floor of the palace you’ll find the Lobkowicz Palace Café, which offers an extensive menu. You can try traditional Czech cuisine for lunch or sit down with coffee and delicious homemade cakes. The restaurant comprises three spaces: an indoor English-style tearoom, a terrace with a magnificent view of Prague, and a Renaissance courtyard.
