Tickets

Where can you get them?

In Prague, transportation tickets cannot be bought from the bus or tram drivers. This article will help you prepare your trip by giving you detailed information about fares and about places where you can buy public transportation tickets.

Tickets (for subway/tram/bus) can be bought in smoke shops (trafika), at ticket machines or at ticket counters and information offices in subway stations.

The fare and validity of a ticket vary according to the zones in which you are traveling, the duration of your trip, the number of connections or of stations and the color of the sky:

90 minutes - week days from 8pm to 5am, week-ends and on national holidays.

The period of validity of a ticket starts upon stamping
You are compelled to punch your ticket upon first use.
For tickets valid 3 or 5 days, it is best to go to an info center of the Prague public transportation company, as "trafikas" don't always have them.

Info centers of the Prague transportation company:
Subway station Muzeum, 7 days a week, from 7am to 9pm.
Subway station Můstek (exit Vodičkova), Monday to Friday, from 7am to 6pm.
Subway station Anděl, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 6pm.
Subway station Nádraží Holešovice, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 6pm.
