Medical services in Prague

As in many European countries, the Czech health care system is based on public service.

If you need to go to the emergency room while in Prague, you will only need to present your valid European Health Insurance Card to be covered.

If you have forgotten it, you will have to pay the required amount on the spot, ask for a receipt, and be reimbursed by your health insurance company when you return to your country.

In the emergency room, you will be asked to pay 90 CZK (about 3.75 EUR) for the consultation fee.
