Why are they always full at U Pinkasů? Among other things, because of the revered Pilsner beer, which is served from stainless steel tanks at this famous establishment. What’s more, you can eat at reasonable prices, even though the pub is in the heart of Prague. The lunch menu, including soup, comes to just CZK 149 (about EUR 6). The main meals here cost around CZK 200, whether goulash, pork with cabbage, Moravian Sparrow (roast pork) or beef sirloin in creamy sauce. Most of the menu is made of meat-based dishes, but those with a sweet tooth needn’t worry. U Pinkasů serves crumble apple pie, tasty homemade pancakes with pear butter and, most of all, fried apples in beer dough.

Don’t forget the “Gothic Garden”, adjacent to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, on the site where the north aisle of the church was to be built.
