Electricity in Prague

In the Czech Republic, type C, E and F power sockets are used, with a standard voltage of 230 V and a frequency 50 Hz.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, power sockets are of type G (standard voltage: 240 V; frequency 50 Hz), so if you’re visiting from these countries, you’ll require an adapter.

If you’re from the United States or Canada, where type A and B plugs are used (voltage: 120 V; frequency 60 Hz), you’ll also need an adapter.

In Australia and New Zealand, power sockets are of type I (standard voltage: 230 V, frequency 50 Hz), so if you’re visiting from these countries, you’ll require an adapter.

In India, Pakistan and African countries, the range of plug categories varies, but you’ll need an adapter.
