In the compound of Prague Castle (Jiřská Street), Lobkowicz Palace hosts the extraordinary Collection of one of the Czech oldest and illustrious noble family, for now on open to the public.
Palace’s museum hosts a permanent exhibition of the private Lobkowicz family Collection. You can discover there paintings from Velázquez, Brueghel, Veronese, Rubens and many others. But also, music instruments, arms and armors, ceramic and porcelain decorative Arts, original musical scores and Beethoven handwritten music score.
Lobkowitcz Palace is open to the public and to the classical music lover. In a beautiful Baroque room with perfect acoustic, you can attend one of the daily concerts at 1 p.m. The programme of selected music goes from Bach to Vivaldi, Dvořak, Smetana and many others.
Besides the pleasure to hear those tunes in an outstanding place, it is also the chance to discover real talented musicians in the orchestra soloist (flute, piano, alto), all coming from a selection of the best musicians of the moment.
