The exceptional SIM/NEBULA audio-visual project brings the connection of contemporary light and digital art with immortalized compositions of musical classics to Prague. Eleven visual artists from around the world will transform the interior of the Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum using videomapping into a fantastic world, which can be created only by light with the help of modern technologies. The musical part of the unique audio-visual experience will be provided by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra under the guidance of the conductor Jan Kučera and which will perform pieces of giants of the classical music: there will be Vltava from the set My Country by Bedřich Smetana, 2nd movement Largo from the New World symphony and the Carnival Overture by Antonín Dvořák and the 2nd movement of the symphony Pathetique by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The SIM/NEBULA project was made possible by the organizers of the festival of light SIGNAL, which is held every autumn in Prague. The art concept and the artistic lead of the project were done by Amar Mulabegovič from The Macula studio. Among the eleven artists there are for example CanBuyukberber and Jan Šíma, who, along with Mulabegovič, are known to the SIGNAL festival audience as authors of some of the festival installations. Important name to mention is also the world distinguished NOHlab studio, which collects prestigious international awards and its clients are among others Pink Floyd or the Chanel brand.
SIM/NEBULA is an exceptional project, which is unique even on the worldwide scale. The connection of videomapping and classical music concert in such specific and iconic space of the Dvořák Hall in Rudolfinum is a promise of a very strong unforgettable experience.
