During the visit, you will hear about Czech Republic history during communism time (from 1948 until the velvet revolution of 1989) and the background of totalitarian regime: communist terror, fate of political prisoners, dissidents, refugees…
You will have a look to some memorial places: the terrace where used to be the biggest statue of Stalin ever built in the world, the former communist secret police STB-headquarters, the place where Jan Palach put himself into fire in order to protest against Russian invasion. You will walk around Venceslas square and Národní street where happened the biggest events of the second half of the 20th century: Soviet invasion of 1968 ending up Prague Spring, big popular demonstrations bringing Velvet revolution and fall of communism regime.
A visit of a real nuclear bunker from the 1950’s long of 16 meters and 4 floors deep under the city; the biggest one built up in Prague for 2500 persons with dozens rooms and many tunnels.
