Main description
Nestled in the heart of Prague’s Jewish Quarter, the Spanish Synagogue is a true architectural treasure. Its Moorish-Andalusian design, intricate golden arabesques, and lavish ornamentation make it one of the most beautiful concert halls in Europe. Step into this enchanting setting, where shimmering light and ornate decor elevate every note, and enjoy an unforgettable performance that blends orchestral power and vocal grace.
The concert begins with classical masterpieces by Ravel, Rossini, and Verdi, before rising to the dramatic energy of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana — interpreted with passion and intensity by soprano Michaela Šrůmová and the soloists of the Czech Collegium Ensemble.
In the second part, the mood transforms with a vibrant selection of traditional Jewish melodies, performed with emotion and brilliance — from festive rhythms to deeply spiritual songs, creating a rich and heartfelt musical journey.
Lighting, decor, and sound merge harmoniously to create a moment where music transcends words and touches the soul.
