Prague, already magnificent all year round, turns into a real fairy tale as Christmas approaches. The cobblestones sparkle, the air is filled with cinnamon and mulled wine, and the markets transform the city into a paradise for Advent lovers.
In 2025, the Christmas markets will take place from 20 November 2025 to 6 January 2026, across several squares of the capital :
Opening hours : 10 AM–8 PM (náměstí Míru, Tylovo náměstí, náměstí Republiky) and 10 AM–10 PM (Václavské náměstí, Staroměstské náměstí — food stalls until midnight).
The most beautiful and largest market takes place on Old Town Square. A huge Christmas tree, a nativity scene, and 82 wooden chalets form the beating heart of the festivities. Each evening between 4:30 PM and 9:30 PM, the tree lights up with music and color. The decorations reflect Czech traditions, with angel arches and many photo spots.
