Looking for a true Czech summer experience? Head out on a canoeing adventure along the Sázava River, just an hour’s drive from Prague, and discover a side of the country few visitors get to see.
Your day begins with hotel pick-up between 8:30 and 9:00 am. Once on site, you’ll receive a safety briefing and basic paddling instructions. No worries if you’re new to canoeing – the inflatable boats are very stable, easy to handle, and perfect for beginners.
Around 11:00 am, it’s time to launch! You’ll paddle through a lush valley with small, easy rapids, taking breaks to swim or simply enjoy the scenery. Halfway through, you’ll pause for a riverside picnic – with vegetarian and vegan options available.
At the end of your route, you can choose between heading straight back to Prague by minivan with your guide, who will transport the canoes, or relaxing in a riverside beer garden while waiting for your guide to join you for a return together on a charming local train. Either way, you’ll finish the day with unforgettable memories of a fun, nature-filled and truly Czech activity.
