This restaurant in the heart of the Dejvice district is run by Frenchman Jean-Charles Berger, who has managed to recreate in Prague the friendly, relaxed atmosphere found in some of the French capital's small bistros. The menu is simple. You can always choose from a tasty soup, several types of quiche and, of course, a variety of daily specials: rare roast beef served with beet mayonnaise and baked potatoes, roast Brussels sprouts with bacon, spring green asparagus and even, occasionally, oysters with the scent of the open sea. Most dishes are, of course, part of the French culinary tradition, with the occasional coq au vin simmering in its cocotte, or mussels from Brittany cooking in white wine. At weekends, time slows down not only in the dining room, but also in the kitchens, and you can sample quail stuffed with duck liver and herbs.
