Letenský zámeček
This restaurant, the "Little Letná Castle", is located on a picturesque site with a magnificent view of the Old Town, in a building designed by Vojtěch Ignác Ullmann in 1863. In 1891, at the time of the Prague World Fair, it was near this neo-Renaissance manor house, in the heart of Letná Park, that Prague's first electrified tram line, invented by engineer František Křižík, opened. Three years later, a merry-go-round with wooden horses was installed behind the building, and it is still there today. The castle is divided into three distinct establishments: the large terrace, a "biergarten" where people usually come to have a beer and eat grilled meats; the Belcredi room, which hosts private events by arrangement; and the Ullman brasserie, where Mediterranean specialities such as tuna carpaccio with quail eggs, scallops and rabbit confit in a chanterelle sauce are served. The restaurant's terrace is adjacent to a petanque court that can accommodate around fifty players. If you plan ahead, you can order a barbecue to enhance your tournament.
