Alcron

Located in the hotel of the same name close to Lucerna Palace, Alcron has been serving high-quality meals since 1932. Today, the hotel is still one of Prague’s most prestigious: since 2013, it has been one of the Czech Republic’s Michelin star restaurants. The Executive Chef Roman Paulus, whose CV includes time at London’s Savoy Hotel, has created a menu full of sophistication. Without doubt, Alcron is definitely one of Prague’s best restaurants for fish and seafood, which also feature on the degustation menu. Dishes to look out for include lobster bisque with sweet corn and poached egg yolk, as well as baked cod with red pepper purée and cous cous. You can also order slow cooked octopus with chorizo emulsion, scallop ceviche with cucumber and dill, or seared langoustine with celeriac. The extensive selection of white wines perfectly accompanies the tender white meat. Among other items, the sommelier at Hotel Alcron stocks a selection of Czech authentic wines: such as Tramín from the Jaroslav Osička winery, or Veltlínské zelené from the Milan Nestarec winery.
