Da Emanuel
Da Emanuel is one of Prague's most popular Italian restaurants. It is located very close to Stromovka Park, and its owner, Emanuel Ridi, is certainly one of the most famous: born on the Italian island of Elba, he is one of the stars of Czech cuisine. His programme 'Un Italien aux fourneaux' is one of the most popular TV shows in the country. Da Emanuel is a rather family-run restaurant, and its cuisine is inspired above all by the Italian tradition, in all its sobriety. The relatively high prices are due not only to the owner's fame, but also and above all to the excellent quality of the dishes served. The fish is fresh and frothy, and the meat is served lightly seasoned with fine herbs or accompanied by simple sauces... The wine list is also well worth a visit, with a wide range of reds from Tuscany and sparkling whites from South Tyrol, not to mention some excellent sparkling wines.
