Můj šálek kávy

In the heart of Prague’s Karlín district, Můj šálek kávy (equivalent to the English expression “My Cup of Tea”), does its trade directly. And it takes the bean very seriously. The freshly ground coffee is prepared the way it should be, from various beans supplied by the doubleshot roastery. That means that they come directly from the farmer and are then roasted “to measure” for a group of cafés.

But Můj šálek kávy knows that it’s not just about coffee, and as a place to eat and meet, it goes for an improvised approach, with a living room-cum-dining room with a bar and kitchen. Inside, you’ll find wood-burning stoves, bookshelves, and armchairs. When there is something worth watching, the owners set up a TV screen.

Regulars say that this coffee house has one drawback: if you don’t make a reservation, getting a seat is pure luck.

Můj šálek kávy isn’t afraid of the competition, not even from customers. Because when you don’t want to fight for a seat, you can make your own cuppa. So the café offers connoisseurs the opportunity to purchase coffee beans, coffee making equipment and accessories, and crockery.
