Located just a stone’s throw from Prague Castle, Villa Richter offers a menu as exceptional as its Prague panorama. This popular venue for birthdays and weddings has an unmistakable charm and an almost princely feel. Villa Richter is home to two restaurants. The Piano Nobile on the first floor consists of a generously sized greenhouse with tropical vegetation, an adjoining terrace and four private lounges. The Piano Nobile offers high prices, but quality is the order of the day. The guinea fowl supreme is prepared using a vacuum-cooking method and served with chestnut stuffing and apple compote; the veal escalopes are browned in clarified butter according to an old-fashioned recipe. Piglet chops with spätzle, mushrooms and shallot sauce, or duck confit, will take you back to a more rustic style of cooking. The menu also includes elegant combinations such as veal tendrons with marrow dumplings and Jerusalem artichokes, or filet mignon with marsala sauce, foie gras and chard. The dessert menu has something for everyone, from local potato cones to opulent chocolate soufflé. The Villa Richter’s second restaurant, Piano Terra, is located in the lower part of the villa and offers an equally remarkable view and more affordable prices. Its larger, south-facing terrace can host events all year round, whatever the weather, thanks to its original roof and hot-air heating. All areas of Villa Richter are only open to pre-arranged events.
