Accessing the internet in Prague is free in many places, so finding a place to connect to Wi-Fi in the Czech capital shouldn’t take very long.
Here are several examples:
- Vaclav Havel Airport Prague: the network is free 24 hours a day and available throughout the airport. For more information see here.
- Shopping centres: you’ll be able to connect to Wi-Fi at Palladium, Quadrio, Atrium Flora or OC Šestka near the airport.
- Each branch of The Municipal Library of Prague (right in the city center e.g. the Central Library, Mariánské náměstí 1, Prague 1 – Old Town).
Free access is available during the opening hours of the library branches. Access is limited during the summer holidays. Connect to the "mestska knihovna" network. For information about opening hours of the individual branches, click here.
- Some of the low-floor trams offer free Wi-Fi to passengers. A Wi-Fi sticker on the door shows that Wi-Fi is available on such trams. Public Wi-Fi is also available at some tram stops.
- Most Prague cafés and restaurants offer their own Wi-Fi connections. Access is with or without a password, which can easily be found on the menu. If you can’t find the password anywhere, ask a member of staff.
- The fast food restaurants in Prague (McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Subway…) offer a free network with an open access. Please note that you must agree with the terms and conditions governing use of such a network.
- All hotels and hostels in Prague offer a Wi-Fi network to their guests. If the information about the connection is unclear, don't hesitate to ask at the reception.
But try to forget about Wi-Fi even for a little while, open your eyes, and enjoy the magic of the Czech capital :-)
