Highlights

  • Attend a concert at the wonderful Spanish Synagogue in Prague.

  • Don’t miss the most famous melodies of world classical music against a unique historical backdrop.

Main description

The Spanish Synagogue lies in the heart of Prague’s Jewish Quarter and is noted for its unique architecture, which blends Arabian and Andalusian influences. The whole building is profusely decorated with arabesques, and the large hall, glittering with gold, adds a fairy-tale atmosphere to a concert.

You can expect a selection of world-famous classical music. The programme features work by Smetana, Dvořák, Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach and Rossini, sensitively interpreted by the Czech Collegium ensemble and the talented soprano Naděžda Chrobáková.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

Antonio Vivaldi: Winter from the Four Seasons

Giacomo Rossini: Duetto

Giuseppe Verdi: La traviata: Aria

Georges Bizet: Carmen: Aria

Antonín Dvořák: Largo from the New World Symphony

Leonard Bernstein: West Side Story

George Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue

Performed by Czech Collegium, including soloists.
