Main description

The Staropramen brewery was established in 1869 as a limited company and soon gained fame for pioneering innovative processes and the application of various modern technologies, in beer production. The brewery was the first, for example, to introduce automated bottling. In the interwar period, Staropramen became the third largest brewery in Europe.

Today, Staropramen is the second largest producer of beer in the Czech Republic and offers a wide range of beers, including flavoured varieties. They play a large part in the brewery’s current success.

During the interactive tours, complete with visual and sound effects, you’ll learn about the history of the brewery, find out how beer is produced, and how it is bottled and distributed. Please note that you won’t actually see the brewing process. Instead, you’ll tour of the visitor centre, which serves as a museum of beer and of the Staropramen brewery. The tour ends with the tasting of the beer of your choice. In addition, if you wish, you can also have a picture of yourself behind the bar and take the photo home as a souvenir.
