Where? Old Town

Pirates and pirate ships, knights on horseback, the underwater world, the Star Wars spaceship, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter. A Lego mosaic of Prague Castle, and models of Charles Bridge, the National Museum, the Taj Mahal and other treasures of world architecture. At the Prague Lego Museum on Národní Avenue you can see them all at the largest museum of its kind anywhere in the world.
The three floors of the historic building in central Prague comprise 20 exhibitions, offering a walk through the entire history of this 20th century phenomenon. In total, over 1 million plastic Lego bricks were used in the 2,500 models. Adults will be interested in exhibits on the origins of the Danish firm, whose history goes back to the 1930s. Kids can drive their own trains, get a fairground carousel moving, or make their own models, in the children’s corner. Everyone has lots of fun at the museum. After all, the name Lego comes from a simple combination of the words “Leg godt!”, meaning “play well!”

Want to know a secret?

The museum has a shop selling Lego kits, including several models unavailable anywhere else in the world. You can also buy spare parts by weight, and individual figures and other accessories.
