Wallenstein Riding School

The National Gallery uses the Waldstein Riding School complex for short-term exhibitions. Thanks to its location at Malostranská metro station, where several tram routes pass by, the property is easily accessible. The Gallery stands beside the Early Baroque palace of Albrecht von Waldstein, which has a beautiful garden. As the display space is essentially one large hall, every exhibition offers a completely original installation. The venue serves mainly for displaying Czech contemporary and classical art, as well as Czech history. The most successful exhibitions in recent years included those about František Skála, and Emperor Charles IV, 1316–2016, which was held on the anniversary of the birth of the most famous monarch of Bohemia.
