Where to go to swimming in Prague this summer?
Temperatures are rising and you do not know where to cool off in Prague? We have a few tips on where to go, to refresh and relax during your stay in the Czech capital.
Podolí has by far the most famous (and most frequented) swimming pool in Prague. It has one indoor pool, two outdoor pools, a jacuzzi and a sauna. On the adjoining lawn, which is packed on hot days, you can relax and enjoy the sunshine.
Admission: CZK 180 / approximately EUR 7 per day
The swimming pool, located very close to the Prague Castle (St. Vitus Cathedral is actually visible from there) is an ideal place for people with children. You will surely appreciate the large toboggan, the playground, table tennis tables and beach volleyball courts.
Admission: CZK 160 / approximately EUR 7 per day
This swimming pool is located in the very heart of the Divoká Šárka wildlife reserve, just a few minutes from the tram line leading from the centre, and is therefore a great place to escape the bustle of the big city.
The natural water reservoir is fed with water from a stream, so the water is quite cold and offers an ideal refuge from high temperatures.

Žluté lázně (Yellow Spa)
Directly opposite the Podolí swimming pool, on the banks of the Vltava River, is an area with a sandy beach, where local people like to spend their weekends. You can play beach volleyball or pétanque, table tennis and other sports, like our very own special favourite – paddleboarding.
If you are courageous enough, you can even take a dip in the Vltava itself!
Admission: CZK 80 / approximately EUR 4 per day (from 17:00 for free).
This swimming pool by the river, on the outskirts of Prague, will delight visitors mainly with its eco-oriented spirit. It was built on the site of the former water treatment plant and its filtration system is 100% bio – it has, for example, water plants with cleaning qualities.
Admission: CZK 100 / approximately EUR 4 per day during the working week and CZK 150 / approximately EUR 6 at the weekend
