Main description
Founded by Jiří Srnec, a pioneer of modern black light theatre, Antología revisits the most iconic scenes of this captivating art form. From its beginnings, black light theatre flourished in Czechoslovakia thanks to Srnec’s creative vision, with legendary productions such as The Enchanted Circus of the Magic Lantern, which has reached over 6,000 performances under his direction.
This non-verbal performance offers an immersive retrospective, tracing more than half a century of artistic innovation and imagination.
Through shadows and light, minimalist sets, and poetic staging, Antología invites the audience to rediscover “the return of magic, the exaltation of imagination and dreams on stage,” as praised by a Times critic after its 1962 performance at the Royal Theatre in Edinburgh.
A mesmerizing show, paying tribute to Czech creativity, perfect for enriching your stay in Prague with an artistic and timeless experience.
